One Week Remains To See WildLights At Woodland Park

WildLights will close after January 1st, 2017, so make sure you stop by this week and take a slow gander at the creative displays. Presented by Sound Credit Union, WildLights takes place each evening from 5:30p – 8:30p, and is a wonderful way to spend an evening with family and friends of all ages.

Help Celebrate An Armadillo’s 25th At Woodland Park Zoo

On April 20th, Maria reached new potentials, for three-banded armadillos. She celebrated her 25th birthday, with a festive ‘cake’ topped with her favorite bugs, and can now claim her place as the oldest living among her species and mark the occasion, with friends and fans, at her home since 2000, the Woodland Park Zoo.

Woodland Park Zoo Seeks Community Input On Major Redevelopment

The Woodland Park Zoo (WPZ,) founded in 1899 and known for its efforts to save animals and their habitats through conservation leadership and engaging experiences, is asking for community advice on planning its next major exhibit. Out of the 92-acres it manages, WPZ has an opportunity to redevelop 3.4-acres of the Tropical Asia zone, that formerly housed elephants, and they want to know what the community of supporters to their mission of preservation, conservation and stewardship want to see in the space.
