The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (ARTS,) in partnership with Seattle Public Utilities, is seeking emerging artists to develop temporary art works for display on construction walls and fences during work on the Ship Canal Water Quality Project.
On Sunday, June 30th, from 5p to 8p, the Down Under Gallery (downstairs at 465 N 36th St, in the Fremocentrist.com office) will host a Reception for Duo Rêves, a painter, aerialist, actor, chandler, and filmmaker.
The Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade is tomorrow, June 22nd, at 1p, and the spectacular display of Celebration Art will be led off by the Solstice Cyclists, and 100s of other Painted Bicycle Riders.
On Tuesday, June 25th, The Village returns to B.F. Day Elementary School and from 12:50p – 2:20p, we can all help ‘Spread Kindness Throughout The B.F. Day Village’ by visiting and shopping – and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of our kids!
At Bar House on Saturday, June 22nd, at 2p, there will be a long line-up of live music, plus DJ Sid Licious, immediately after the Fremont Solstice Parade passes by. This free show will be held at one of Fremont’s smallest and most casual drinking establishments, open to everyone 21+.
On Saturday, June 22nd at 1p, the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade will roll its active and creative art down the streets of the Center of the Universe, led by the Solstice Cyclists and other body-painted bike riders.
The Fremont Street Fair returns on June 22nd & 23rd, offering two different days of festivities and entertainments, including the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade, the Seattle Art Car Blowout, the Dog Parade, and live music performances.
On Saturday, June 22nd, at 1p, the Fremont Solstice Parade will dance its way through the Center of the Universe! Everyone can still get involved in creating this spectacular celebration, or just take part on the day.
Next Friday, June 14th, from 7p – 9p, enjoy ‘An Evening of Parlor Amusements’ at Friday Afternoon Tea. Local entertainers Sarah Shay and Strangely Doesburg are bringing a selection of music, magic and amusement to the tea house on Stone Way.
The Fremont Street Fair is coming over the weekend of June 22nd & 23rd, with live music, lots of shopping, delicious eats and plenty of beer garden opportunities. Yet, the Fair also serves as a framework into which our community inserts even more of its art – specifically Seattle Art Cars and the Fremont Solstice Parade.
