At Makerhaus studio members can use tools and resources to create the next great prototype – or piece of art. Yet Makerhaus also offers an amazing selection of classes, including an upcoming three-hour course called ‘Patents Demystified,’ taught by Associate Patent Attorney Dylan Adams.
For the second year, Ricky Gene Powell will produce ‘Santa’s First Magical Ride: The Musical,’ and auditions are currently being scheduled for actors, dancers, singers and elfish types that want to celebrate the holidays by giving their talents to create a great show, and a new tradition.

On Saturday, September 21st, the Fremont Arts Council will hold its annual Luminata Lantern Procession at Green Lake, celebrating the Fall Equinox, community and, as with every FAC event, art. Between now and then, the FAC has invited everyone interested – of every age and skill – to come by The Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N) and make a lantern for Luminata. Workshops will take place this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, Sep 14th & 15th, from Noon – 6p. They will also be open Monday – Thursday this week (Sep 16th – 19th) from 6p – 9p.
