Glass Eye Studio Great Sidewalk Sale This Saturday, May 12th

On Saturday, May 12th, the Glass Eye Studio will hold one of its twice-yearly sales of discontinued, prototype, seconds and overrun products. This rare opportunity allows Fremonsters to shop the artisan glass products created right here in Fremont, and sold in galleries and museums all over the world. The sale will go from 9a – 1p, but those who arrive early will have the best selection.

Register Now for Artist’s Way Classes at Present Sense Studio

Registration remains open for the two 12-week classes on ‘The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron, an international bestselling book on the subject of creativity. The classes are being offered, through the Seattle Artist’s Way Center, either on Mondays at 6:30p, starting May 14th, or Fridays at 10:30a, starting May 11th, and taught at Present Sense (at 4131 Woodland Park Avenue.)

Stone Soup Double (XX) Fest Enters Second Week

Showcasing works written and directed exclusively by women, the Stone Soup Theatre enters the second week of its Double (XX) Play Fest. Fremont Arts Council Rummage Sale To Benefit The Solstice Parade This Weekend!

This weekend, help stage the spectacular, sensational and singular Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Solstice Parade – while getting some great bargains! The annual FAC Rummage Sale will take place this Saturday and Sunday, April 21st & 22nd, from 9a – 4p, at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Avenue North) with all proceeds going to the building of the 2012 Solstice Parade. Find some treasures, and help with the ‘glue-and-scissors’ fund for the Parade.

Passing – Richard Beyer, Fremont’s First Public Artist

On Monday, April 9th, 2012, Richard Sternoff Beyer passed away following a serious stroke he sustained on March 27th. Beyer is survived by his wife, Dorothy Scholz-Beyer, and his children Elizabeth Beyer Miller and Charles S. Beyer, and two step-children, Charles Scholz and Anna Scholz Godas, and 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
