On Monday, July 27th, starting at 7p, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will hear reports from the Seattle Department of Transportation and State Representative for District #43, in addition to sharing news about our community.
This Saturday, July 18th, Seattle City Council Candidate for District #6 (representing West Fremont) Catherine Weatbrook will hold a fun, and lively, ballot rally in Ballard at the Leif Erikson Lodge.

The June Board Meeting of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce had a great turnout, and important updates on activities this advocacy organization has taken an interest in.
The North Seattle Industrial Association (NSIA) met on June 23rd for its last meeting of the summer. They discussed, as usual, the needs of the industrial, manufacturing, and maritime businesses of North Seattle – particularly the ability to move freight.
Last Monday, on June 22nd, at the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) monthly meeting the board of this non-profit advocacy organization unanimously voted to spend $3,000 from its treasury to pay for decorating three more signal boxes.
The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture will be expanding the Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Portable Works Collection, and they have called for art works that represent the experience of communities of color, of immigrant and of refugees.
This weekend, one of the best ways to come to see the Fremont Fair and the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade is by riding METRO transit. A special shuttle bus will be run on Saturday between Downtown Seattle and the south end of the Fremont Bridge, every 15 minutes from 12:12p – 6:57p.
Next Wednesday, June 17th, at Noon at Gas Works Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Picnic-In-The-Park. This year’s Seattle City Council candidate forum promises to be even more lively as voters can meet candidates for Districts #4 & #6, who promise to represent Fremont, along with candidates running for the two city at-large seats.
