History House Continues To Gather Fremont Stories, With Your Help

The ‘Fremont: Timber To Troll’ history project being compiled currently at History House of Greater Seattle continues to gather materials from Fremonsters of all times, talents and temperaments. The final presentation of the student’s projects, the DVD and a possible art display has been rescheduled for November 17th to get more people, and their contributions, involved.

Seattle Parks Seeks Feedback On Electronic Interfaces

The Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation will host three public meetings to learn from the community how they interact with the Parks website, social media and public computers available at Parks Community Centers.

The meetings will take place from 7p – 8:30p at:
Garfield Community Center (2323 E Cherry St) on Monday, September 10th
Northgate Community Center (10510 – 5th Ave NE) on Thursday, September 13th
Van Asselt Community Center (28200 S Myrtle St) on Monday, September 17th

Community Meeting on Lower Woodland Lighting Improvements

The Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation invites the community to a meeting on the Lower Woodland Cloverleaf Ball Field and Tennis Court Lighting Replacement project on Tuesday, September 4th from 6p – 7:30p. The discussion of the existing lighting system for the ball fields and tennis courts will take place at the Green Lake Branch of the Seattle Public Library System (7364 E Green Lake Dr N.)

A Summer Season Celebration With Mischief

The remaining rays of summer will be celebrated at Fremont Mischief Distillery in its new outdoor concert space. On Saturday, September 8th starting at 6p, enjoy live music by St. Paul de Vence and Le Wrens, while enjoy beverages from the cash bar and dining on food from Foodz Catering.

Outdoor Cinema Season Ends With ‘I Am The Walrus’ Party

This Saturday, August 25th, enjoy the final Fremont Outdoor Cinema of the 20th Anniversary season with ‘Dudefest 3: I Am The Walrus’. Throw on your bathrobe and lace up your bowling shoes, and come out for a special engagement screening of the Coen Brothers’ cult classic film, ‘The Big Lebowski.’

Second Screening Scheduled for ‘The Hall Of Giants’ Documentary

A locally produced documentary, on the history of the Fremont Arts Council, the Fremont Troll and installation of public art, will have a second screening on August 26th at 6p at the Doric Lodge #92. This screening is specifically for those who want to stay after and offer constructive opinions during an optional Q & A session.
