On Saturday, February 16th, from 10a – Noon, the Center for Wodden Boats (CWB) offers another of its monthly woodworking demonstrations, by Lead Boatwright Joe Green, at the new North Lake Union Workshop & Warehouse (1475 N Northlake Pl – next door to Gas Works Park.)
On Saturday, March 3rd, History House will unveil its newest exhibit, ‘Becoming Us – Through Immigrant Eyes.’ From 2p – 3p, there will be a Grand Opening, free and open-to-the-public, where everyone can get the first look at this exhibit, and meet some of the creators.
Over the Christmas holiday, the Children’s Music Foundation and its founder and president, Rourke O’Brien, have spent several long days at Fremont Studios with a film crew, music teacher host (called ‘Miss Melody,’ Rachel Brackett is a teacher at Lakeview Elementary,) child performers, and visiting musicians. Together they are creating the DVDs that will be the final piece of a First Note music curriculum to be offered to schools all over the country.
