This Fall, Seattle voters have a chance to elect seven of the nine Seattle City Councilmembers. Both Council seats representing the neighborhood of Fremont, covered by District #4 (east of Aurora) and District #6 (west of Aurora,) are up for election – with no incumbent running.
Please vote by August 2nd! Registered voters should have received a ballot in mid-July, and right now is an excellent time to sit down and fill it out – and mail it or drop it in a King County ballot drop-box (the closest to Fremont is at the Ballard Branch Library,) by Tuesday, August 2nd.
Next Wednesday, June 17th, at Noon at Gas Works Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Picnic-In-The-Park. This year’s Seattle City Council candidate forum promises to be even more lively as voters can meet candidates for Districts #4 & #6, who promise to represent Fremont, along with candidates running for the two city at-large seats.
Ballots are due from Seattle (and King County) voters by tomorrow, August 5th, in the 2014 Washington Primary Election.
The membership of the Fremont Arts Council has voted for the 2014 Board of Directors for this unique arts organization.
