This Friday, February 1st, during the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, from 6p – 9p, explore new venues, of art display and art creation, among the known favorites participating every month in FFF.
On Thursday, January 31st, from 6p – 8p, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce invites all geeks, and anyone wanting to meet a geek, to a gathering hosted in the offices of local web developer, Produxs.
On Saturday, February 2nd, see (and hear) Steve James & Del Rey in concert at Dusty Strings. Doors open at 7:00p for this all ages, live music experience combining the talents of James – a songsmith and bottleneck guitarist from Austin, Texas – and Rey – a complex, pianistic guitarist performer from Seattle. Tickets cost $18 per person ($9 for children under 12 years of age,) and are available at Dusty Strings – or by phone at 206/684-1662.
The premiere beer, Scotch, whiskey, and wine tasting experience will take place on February 22nd and 23rd at Fremont Studios. The Hop Scotch Beer & Scotch Festival will transform the Studios into a swanky beverage-tasting playground, with a special meet-the-makers opportunity during a special Whiskey Lunch addition. Hop Scotch is a 21 and over event.

On Tuesday, January 22nd, audiences will have a rare opportunity to see, live, the LA based band Hi Ho Silver Oh, with actor/musician (and retired comedian) Charlyne Yi. The show will go on at 8p (doors open at 7p) at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center.
On Saturday, January 12th, from 10a – 2p, King County invites everyone to attend a design workshop for the Fremont Siphon Replacement Project, to be held at B.F. Day Elementary School. The Project will include a facility to be built on the Fremont side of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, and members of our community will have this opportunity to shape the architecture and landscape vision of this permanent structure.
On Friday, January 4th, join the Fremont Art Walk and explore a vast-variety of venues displaying a mix of art mediums and artists. From 6p – 9p, stroll the Center of the Universe and witness the work of some incredibly creative minds.
For the first time in decades, perhaps ever, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library will be open on Sundays in 2013, from 1p – 5p, starting January 6th.
