The Blind Café at Fremont Baptist Church on June 8th & 9th

Coming June 8th & 9th, at 7:30p, the Seattle Blind Café provides a mind bending and heart-opening experience. Audiences will indulge in a ‘sensory tasting experience’, then participate in a question & answer session with the blind wait staff – all accompanied by a concert of original music by Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken…and all done in the pitch dark!

HONK! Fest West This Saturday at Gas Works Park

This weekend, all around Seattle expect to hear the sound of celebration as HONK! Fest West takes to our streets. Fremont gets a turn on Saturday, June 2nd, as HONK! Fest marches onto the grassy banks and broad walks of Gas Works Park from Noon – 6p.

Join the Annual Celebration Of The Wally Boys & Girls

On Friday, June 1st, the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club will hold a free, community dinner, with distribution of awards, presentations by members and the fundraising silent auction and dessert dash. Come help celebrate the amazing kids, staff and friends of the Club – and give what financial support you can to make our club stay the very best.

The June Fremont First Friday Art Walk, Now With More Masson

Melanie Masson returns to the Fremont First Friday (FFF) Art Walk on June 1st, from 6p – 9p, this time showing her striking photography at the 509 Wines Tasting Room. The return of the former FFF organizer as an artist is only one of the incredibly fabulous happenings at the first summertime Art Walk.

Drink Beer; Help Fremont Rotary

Come be one of the first to taste the 2012 Fremont Rotary Brew at Fremont Brewing Company on Wednesday, May 30th from 5p – 9p. The Rotary Club of Fremont (also known as the Fremont Fun Club) will tap a keg of signature brew, created to honor the 12 years of community service the club has completed, and to raise money to fund more helpful projects that benefit Fremont, and the world.

Come Help Build A Parade!

Come help build the 2012 Solstice Parade, with the Fremont Arts Council, at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N.) Workshops take place frequently over the next month, although the studio is open every day and anyone can show up and lend a hand. The Powerhouse studio hours just now are 6p – 9p on weeknights, 9a – 6p on weekends. Remember, the best way to enjoy this parade is to be in the parade – at Noon on Saturday, June 16th.
