THANK YOU Seattle for Giving Big on May 2nd!

The Seattle Foundation GiveBIG campaign generated $7.43 million in on-line contributions for non-profit organizations that operate here in the Pacific Northwest – doubling the amount raised last year. The 24-hour donation drive, held May 2nd, attracted more than 37,800 donations – from donors located at computers in all 50 states, and in 23 foreign countries.

Murder Mystery at The Backdoor @ Roxy’s

On Sunday, May 20th, from 7p – 9p, figure out ‘Who Done It’ during an interactive murder mystery dinner at The Backdoor @ Roxy’s. A $60 ticket, per person (21+,) includes a delicious, four-course dinner, a drink, murder-tainment, taxes and gratuity.

8th Season of Music In The Sculpture Garden Announced

This summer History House will once again host the Music In The Sculpture Garden Summer Concert Series, from June 3rd to July 29th. Held on Sunday afternoons from 2p – 4p, these free concerts feature some of the Puget Sound’s best acoustic musicians, performing in a covered outdoor courtyard.

Glass Eye Studio Great Sidewalk Sale This Saturday, May 12th

On Saturday, May 12th, the Glass Eye Studio will hold one of its twice-yearly sales of discontinued, prototype, seconds and overrun products. This rare opportunity allows Fremonsters to shop the artisan glass products created right here in Fremont, and sold in galleries and museums all over the world. The sale will go from 9a – 1p, but those who arrive early will have the best selection.

Register Now for Artist’s Way Classes at Present Sense Studio

Registration remains open for the two 12-week classes on ‘The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron, an international bestselling book on the subject of creativity. The classes are being offered, through the Seattle Artist’s Way Center, either on Mondays at 6:30p, starting May 14th, or Fridays at 10:30a, starting May 11th, and taught at Present Sense (at 4131 Woodland Park Avenue.)

Mobile Food Rodeo Gets Corralled In Fremont May 6th

Come hungry! The Mobile Food Rodeo debuted as the largest showcase for mobile food trucks (taco wagons, hot dog stands, etc.) on the west coast last September with over 7,000 people in attendance! This year, admission is FREE and activities will be added to the street food festival, on May 6th, from Noon to 7p, in Fremont!
