Once again, Hub And Bespoke – Fremont’s fine clothing boutique for the well-dressed cyclist – will host another FREE movie night. On Wednesday, November 16th, starting at 6p, join fellow cycling enthusiasts for a screening of the film ‘The Flying Scotsman’.
On Wednesday, November 16th, from 8a – 9:30a, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual ‘Breakfast of Shameless Self-Promotion.’ This popular gathering allows everyone – business owners, philanthropists, event organizers, the underemployed, and/or a City of Seattle Mayor – to share information about their passion with others from our community.
The wildly popular new show produced by Café Nordo – ‘To Savor Tomorrow’ – at West of Lenin, has extended its run by two nights, November 25th & 26th. Those who want to see truly innovative theater, while enjoying creative adult beverage concoctions, must order tickets immediately – ‘To Savor Tomorrow’ has been selling out!
Come help celebrate the 6th Birthday of the Fremont Abbey Arts Center on Saturday, November 19th, at 6p. This annual fundraiser will culminate a month of celebrations of the Arts Center’s sixth year.
Please help spread the word that on Wednesday, November 9th at 11a (2p E.S.T.) a nationwide test of the emergency alert system (EAS) will be conducted. More than 20,000 television and radio broadcast stations across the United States will participate in this first-ever, nationwide, 30-second test.
This Sunday, November 6th, the Backdoor @ Roxy’s will feature two burlesque shows, at 7p & 9p, starring the Backbar Beauties. Fremont’s own speakeasy will go a little more vintage, and a little more racy, as the Beauties bring burlesque to this strictly 21 and over establishment.
This Saturday, November 5th, from 2p – 3:30p, three published poets will each share a sample of their work at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library. This free program, sponsored also by the Washington Poets Association, allows Fremonsters a chance to hear the quality poetry of David Mason, Judith Roche and David Horowitz.
Regardless of what your tastes, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk has art (and food and drink) to meet it! Come out this Friday, November 4th, between 6p – 9p, and see what you’ve been missing out on!!

Last Thursday, October 20th, Mayor Mike McGinn, and many Fremont notables, gathered at 3400 Stone Way to celebrate the announcement that Brooks Sports will relocate their headquarters to a new development to be built on the site, in 2013.
