Ignite Seattle 15 Brings A Quick Opportunity To Be Enlightened To Fremont

On Saturday, August 20th, starting at 7:00p, Ignite Seattle 15 invites audience members to fill the Outdoor Cinema lot for a series of five-minute talks meant to enlighten, educate and entertain. The talks come accompanied by projected slide images that automatically change every 15 seconds. With swift pacing, varied topics and engaging speakers, the evening promises to live up to the tagline – ‘Enlighten Us, But Make It Quick.’ Tickets, sold at the gates, cost $5, and the gathering will start at 8p.

Painting Party Scheduled for Bridge Way Mural

Volunteers are needed for a painting party scheduled for THIS SATURDAY, August 13th, from 10a – 2p, to remove graffiti from the beleaguered Bridge Way Mural. At 10a, volunteers can meet at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Avenue North) to help carry paint and supplies up to the mural. At the mural, volunteers will be needed all day to wield a paintbrush, cleaning supplies, and doing some landscaping at the mural along Bridge Way under Aurora Avenue.

Double Dose of Fremont Outdoor Movies This Weekend

This weekend enjoy two nights of celluloid out under the stars! On Friday, August 5, the Fremont Outdoor Cinema presents the 40th Anniversary celebratory screening of A Clockwork Orange, after the Fremont First Friday Art Walk. On Saturday, August 6th, the parking lot get down and dirty as audiences enjoy Pulp Fiction.
