This Saturday, July 30th, the Fremont Outdoor Movies screening of The Princess Bride will be sponsored by the CoHo Team of Windermere Real Estate Agents who will match the gate donations – usually $5 – and give the money to Solid Ground, to support their work to end homelessness. The record donation from a past sponsored show was $10,000 – with your help, CoHo hopes to surpass that amount.
This Sunday, July 31st, from 2p – 4p, will be the final installment of the 7th Season of free, open-to-the-public acoustic concerts at History House (790 N 34th St.) Music In The Sculpture Garden has provided a showcase for fine acoustic musicians – and an excellent opportunity for audiences to get in out of the sun (or rain) in the covered courtyard, and enjoy quality entertainment. Grab this last chance to kick-back and be entertained!
This Wednesday, July 27, Nectar Lounge will host ‘A Taste of Love,’ a one-night only, from 8p – 1:30a, entertainment showcase to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming 2nd Annual Northwest LoveFest.
In its bi-monthly e-newsletter, Dusty Strings Music School gave updates on some of their teachers. The list of activities these professional musicians will be about this summer, proves again that Dusty Strings has an incredibly talented, and interesting, staff!
On Sunday, July 24th, a neighborhood club – Future Parents of B.F. Day – is hosting a huge yard sale (full of great treasures) with the proceeds raised going to support programs at B.F. Day Elementary School. The sale takes place at 4422 Phinney Ave N.
Opening Friday, July 22nd, the New Amerikan Theatre will present the West Coast Premiere of playwright August Schulenberg’s Riding The Bull. Performances will be held through August 13th, on Friday and Saturday nights, at the UpStage of Stone Soup Theater (4035 Stone Way N.)
This week, on Sunday, July 24th, from 2p – 4p, the free concert series – Music In the Sculpture Garden – features music two incredibly talented singer-songwriters. These performances only show that the series continues strong in the seventh year of the series, and the second to last concert.
This Saturday, July 23rd, the Fremont Outdoor Cinema gates open at 7p for the raunchy, outrageous comedy ‘Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle’.
The Washington News Council has just announced the subject of their and 13th Annual Gridiron West Dinner. This year, on December 15th, at Fremont Studios, they will roast/toast the innovative, internationally recognized glass artist icon, Dale Chihuly.
