On Wednesday, September 12th, from 5:30p – 7:30p, join local business leaders and concerned community members as we talk and toast the important work of the Wallingford Community Senior Center, at Fremont Mischief Distillery with eats by Aegis of Ravenna.
On the first Friday of September, the 7th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont Art Walk returns to decorate our community with original artists – and a chance to meet the talented people who create these beautiful works of whimsy.
The film ‘3100: Run And Become’ will be showing at the Varsity Theater in the U-District for two-week run, starting Friday, September 7th. Opening night, there will be a special presentation before the screening as well as guests in attendance, including the director and members of the community surrounding our beloved Silence-Heart-Nest restaurant.
On September 21st, 22nd & 23rd, the Fremont Oktoberfest will return to the Center of the Universe, bringing plenty of entertainment and education – plus, beer!

On Monday, September 3rd, at 7p, at West of Lenin, Parley Productions present ‘Gills! Gills! Gills!’ Written by Celeste Mari Williams, these three quirky short plays deal with mating in the deep and the survival of the species.
On Tuesday, September 4th, at Fremont Abbey Arts Center the band Bombadil will return to performing with pieces from their new album ‘Fences.’
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is currently preparing for its annual lantern walk around Green Lake, on the Autumnal Equinox. In preparation, the FAC will host a series of workshops in building lanterns, for the use of participants and for sale as a fundraiser for the Luminata Lantern Walk.
The community work party originally scheduled for cleaning and pruning at Fremont Peak Park on Saturday, August 25th, has been cancelled. Instead, the neighbors who care for and groom this public park hope to see everyone for the next work party on September 22nd.
The Blind Café brings an inspiring evening of food, music and enlightenment to Seattle each year, and they are ramping up for their shows here October 4th – 6th.
