On Tuesday, November 27th, from 4p – 8p, the Rotary Club of Fremont will wait and bus tables at Pecado Bueno for everyone that comes to buy great food, enjoy fun entertainment, and/or show their support for our school, our kids and improving our community!
For three nights – November 8th, 9th & 10th – Fremont will host the super-special Seattle Blind Café, for three seatings. Dinner and music is served, in the dark, at the Fremont Baptist Church.
On Friday, October 5th, starting at 6p, a celebration of the opening of the legendary Moulin Rouge cabaret (on October 6th, 1889) will take place at Hale’s Palladium with the ‘Moulin To Moisture Festival Fundraising Party & Auction.’
Fremont Oktoberfest takes place at N 35th St & Phinney Ave N from September 21st – 23rd, with plenty of activities, music, food, fun, and – as always – beer!
As the annual fall publishing push of new cookbooks is awaited at Book Larder, the community cookbook store in Upper Fremont, the shop will hold a sale this weekend – September 8th & 9th – with discounts of 25 – 40% on select titles.
On May 23rd, the restaurant Hunger – located in the ‘old’ Dad Watson’s space – celebrated its Grand (re) Opening. For those who missed it, Hunger had already been feeding – and delighting – diners in Upper Fremont for a year.
Pete’s Fremont Fire Pit has extended its Happy Hours, and its available selection. Daily Happy Hour now runs from 3p – 6p, with a special late-night deal on Fridays & Saturdays (for looking to drink and dine) from 11p – 1a.
The legendary Ballroom pizza, with its huge slices of New York-style wonderfulness, can now be purchased off the sidewalk in front of the pool hall/nightclub.
On Wednesday, May 30th, the Rotary Club of Fremont held a fundraiser hosted at Fremont Brewing Company, in the family (& dog) friendly Urban Beer Garden.
Coming June 8th & 9th, at 7:30p, the Seattle Blind Café provides a mind bending and heart-opening experience. Audiences will indulge in a ‘sensory tasting experience’, then participate in a question & answer session with the blind wait staff – all accompanied by a concert of original music by Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken…and all done in the pitch dark!
