This Saturday, February 23rd, the Artists-In-Residence of the Fremont Abbey Arts Center will present a collaborative performance piece, staging two performances in one night – at 7p & 9p. Purchase tickets now to ‘Net//Works: Art Exploring the Nature Of Connection’ to get a discount/advance price of $12, through Brown Paper Tickets, or simply get more information on the Facebook event page and purchase a ticket the night of for $15.

‘We The People Power’ Festival Weekly Work Parties Announced

The ‘We The People Power’ Festival, on June 16th at Gas Works Park from 1p – 7p, will harness and celebrate the power of community. A series of fun-filled work parties, preparing the games, art and projects to be shared at the festival, will give everyone a chance to enjoy people-power in advance. Every Thursday, leading up to June 16th, at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, downstairs, organizers will gather to build the festival, with orientations taking place at 6:15p for those curious to know more.

Help Fund Programs At B.F. Day Swellegant-ly

On Saturday, March 10th, the B.F. Day Elementary School PTSA will host an annual community building party that also raises money to fund vital programs for our public school. Swellegant, a cocktail party and mini-auction (with the fabulous Golden Raffle) will bring together Fremont community members and B.F. Day to socialize, and takes place from 7p – 11p at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center.

Call For Artists & Performers for July 2012 Show At Fremont Abbey

Across the River Arts invites local, emerging artists to submit visual or performing art pieces to be exhibited and/or performed at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center on July 12, 2012. Pieces should center around the theme “Extraordinary in the Everyday.” The deadline to apply is April 15, 2012, and an application can be found on the Across The River website

Fremont Abbey presents 2nd Annual ‘A Moving Conversation’

On February 24th& 25th, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center will host a unique gathering to give voice as well as exposure to six Seattle choreographers, and nurture the dance community. The ground-breaking ‘A Moving Conversation, Annual Movement Arts Event,’ curated by Tori McConnell, returns for the second year to delight and engage audiences.
