In November 2013, Fremont lost two important people – Jack A. Harvey, of Hoffner, Fisher & Harvey, and Dee Dee Rainbow, long-time supporter of the Fremont Fair.
The Seattle Aquarium has joined the Seattle Public Library (SPL) Museum Pass Program. This program allows patrons of the SPL System to use their library card to check out free museum passes.

On Saturday, November 2nd, from 9a – Noon, find Coyle’s Bakeshop popping up within Book Larder book shop, at 4252 Fremont Ave N. On Monday, November 4th, from 6:30p – 8p, meet Bob Donegan and Jess Thomson at Book Larder for a free presentation of the ‘Ivar’s Seafood Cookbook.’
On Saturday, November 2nd, from 11a – 1p, the City Of Seattle will re-dedicate Fire Station 9 after a complete rebuild, and the dedication of Fremont’s newest piece of public art – ‘Nine Lives’ by Peter Reiquam.
On November 9th, at 3p, the Fremont Fireside Chat series – sponsored by HomeStreet Bank – will continue at History House of Greater Seattle with ‘The 1,003 Stories of Fremont.’
This past September, District Fabric opened its doors in the former Bitters Co space. For one-night-only, October 9th at 7:30p, West of Lenin will have Martin Dockery, an acclaimed storyteller and solo performer, bringing ‘The Bike Trip’ to the upstairs studio space.
