Tonight is the opening of the newest show at Stone Soup Theatre: ‘Alice In Wonderland’ by Andre Gregory. Scheduled to run through May 3rd, this tribute production celebrates the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s book ‘Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland’, and brings to Fremont audiences an accessible and all-ages friendly one-act play.
The Rotary Club of Fremont is holding a public vote to discover the names of the Fremont Dino topiaries. Long referred to as ‘Mama & Baby,’ the wise minds of the Official Dino Caretakers heard a whisper that these Fremonsters want us to figure out their names – and that they may not even be female… (A fact in serious doubt by this writer!)
Nine teams of fourth and fifth grade students from Seattle Public Schools will compete in the city final of the 20th annual Global Reading Challenge on Tuesday, March 24th at 7p, at the Central Branch of the Seattle Public Library in the Microsoft Auditorium.
On Thursday, March 12th, from 3p – 9p, Reuben’s Brews will hold one of their ‘Thank You, Thursday’ fundraisers – this time for our own B.F. Day Elementary School P.T.S.A.
This winter, Storybook Theater is performing ‘Cinderella’ around the region and on March 7th, at 11a and 1p, they will bring this production to the stage at Hale’s Palladium.
On Friday, February 6th, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk goes philanthropic, at Frame-Up Studios, along with featuring a trunk show, art displays and an anniversary celebration, all going on ‘round the ‘hood from 6p – 9p!
Fremont audiences will get another chance at the wildly funny, all-ages appropriate (and all-ages entertaining) ‘I Hate Children’ Children’s Show, with Paul Nathan. The show goes on for three matinees on Saturdays and Sundays, February 7th – 22nd, at Hale’s Palladium.
At 2p on Friday, January 30th, Fremont’s 12th Man can turn out at Evanston Plaza for a photo opp – to show the world how much we love our Seattle Seahawks!!
This Sunday, January 25th, from 11a – 7p, everyone is asked to eat well at the St. Benedict’s School 6th Grade Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – and help raise money for environmental education at Camp Hamilton.
Enjoy dancing and crafts, while dressed as your favorite superhero, as a fundraiser for Wellspring Family Services, at Nectar on Jan 24th from 11a – 2p.
