Start The Holiday Season With A Troll Lighting and Visit With Santa

On Saturday, December 1st, Fremont offers two ways to celebrate the season – one conventional (in a Fremont way,) and the other honoring art and environment along with the holidays! From 9a – 2p, the Red Door Ale House will host Santa Claus with photo packages available from Rowland Photo, and a delicious brunch (plus adult beverages,) available for purchase. From 2p – 4:30p, the Friends of Troll’s Knoll and Trees for Seattle will host a clean-up, decorating and planting around the Fremont Troll.

A Request From Concerned Neighbors of the Fremont Troll

Residents who live near the Fremont Troll, and several of them who clean and maintain the park around the popular sculpture, have crafted a letter and a plea to neighbors to request help from the City of Seattle. They’ve sent out a letter asking everyone to write or e-mail City officials asking for removal of encampments in the park land around the Fremont Troll.
