On Tuesday, October 8th, from 6:30p – 7:45p, the Fremont Library Book Group will discuss the book ‘A Palestine Affair’, by Jonathan Wilson. The book is available through the Seattle Public Library System, and will be due the night of the meeting. The Fremont Library Book Group meets monthly, on the second Tuesday, and is open to the public with a casual attendance policy.
On Monday, July 8th, from 6:30p – 7:45p, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library will hold the first of what will hopefully become a quarterly series of poetry evenings, co-hosted with Floating Bridge Press.
On Monday, June 10th, from 5:30p – 7p, at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library, Literacy Source welcomes everyone to come celebrate the achievements of outstanding scholars.
On Wednesday, May 15th, support the Seattle Public Library with a donation to the Seattle Foundation ‘GiveBIG’ challenge and the Seattle Public Library Foundation.
On Tuesday, April 23rd, ‘World Book Night’, the Seattle Public Library will serve as a book pick-up site for 25,000 volunteer book givers.
On Sunday, February 10th, from 2p – 3:30p, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library (SPL) will host one of the celebrations taking place all over the city. For the first time in at least a century, all libraries are open on Sundays – and from January through May 5th, branch libraries all over Seattle will mark the occasion.
On Monday, January 21st, the Seattle Public Library will perform scheduled maintenance on its computer system. The upgrade is estimated to take 2 – 4 hours to complete.
For the first time in decades, perhaps ever, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library will be open on Sundays in 2013, from 1p – 5p, starting January 6th.
During the month of May, at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library, to celebrate National Preservation Month, the Fremont Historical Society has organized a display of information, and photos, of ten Fremont buildings.
