On Sundays, through December 10th, The Hallows Church will be collecting winter coats and gear for 80 homeless students at Chief Sealth High School.
On Thursday, November 16th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center will hold its annual celebration of this non-profit community entertainment venue – and they want to know if you will be attending!
On Saturday, October 21st, from 6p – 9p, dancers (and enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes) will gather at Hale’s Palladium for Dance Your Cash Off, a peer-to-peer fundraiser benefiting The Greater Seattle Bureau Of Fearless Ideas.
Next February, 2018, the Aurora District Friends of Scouting will hold a fundraising breakfast at the Woodland Park Zoo Rainforest Pavilion – and they could use our support. The breakfast raises money for scouting in North Seattle, through sponsorship and donations made at the event, to send scouts on a sea cruise, camping trips, and teambuilding experiences at Camporee.
On Wednesday, September 20th, at Noon, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch of Shameless Self-Promotion, at the Fremont Shawn O’Donnell’s Restaurant location.
On Tuesday, July 11th at 7:10p at The Powerhouse, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) will host its monthly community meeting, and they’ve invited Moral Choice, an anti-racism training and consulting organization, to lead an open and public conversation.
On Tuesday, June 27th at 7p, join members of the Puget Soundkeeper for a cold drink and a warm dinner at The Leary Traveler. Learn about the evolution of pollution in Puget Sound from three fantastic, well-educated presenters, in a relaxing and convivial setting, with ‘Pint-Sized Science.’
Next Wednesday, on May 10th, from midnight to midnight, the Seattle Foundation will host its annual Day of Philanthropy, where our on-line donations to area non-profits can be stretched through strategic corporate matches. This year, early-bird pledges can be accepted for GiveBIG in advance of May 10th, with the donation to be processed on that day.
This Saturday, on April 22nd, at 7:30p, Orchestra Seattle & the Seattle Chamber Singers (OSSCS) will perform at the First Free Methodist Church (near Seattle Pacific University,) a concert that includes Brahms ‘A German Requiem.’ And on May 13th, starting at 6p, the OSSCS will return to Fremont, at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, for a fundraising auction, La Nuit Infinie, to support their musical program.
