On Wednesday, April 13th, from 6p – 8p, The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will welcome Pike Brewing for a special Barrel-Aged Pike Night. Sample a tasting flight, or a full pour, of Pike beer aged in specially selected whiskey casks.
Volunteers are still needed to sign-up for the Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest on March 25th & 26th, to contribute to this entertaining, and educational, fundraising event. Volunteers are most critically needed for Saturday, March 26th, from 8p – 11:45p, to help the Seattle Scotch Fest raise money for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Community Grant program.
On Sunday, March 6th, starting at 8p, The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will launch a weekly gathering for those working in the service and hospitality industry – around Fremont and everywhere in the region.
On Leap Day, Monday, February 29th, from 4:30p – 6p, at the Red Door, we all have a last opportunity to say ‘thank you’ and ‘fare thee well’ (or, your own words…) to the always helpful and ever-present (until now) Jessica Vets! Cost is a $20/$25 donation to the Fremont Chamber of Commerce.
The fundraising HopScotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival has been renamed the Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest, and is coming on Easter weekend – March 25th & 26th – to the Fremont Studios.
On Sunday, February 21st, from 2p – 5p, Vif Wine|Coffee café will host their First Oyster Fest. Held indoors and outdoors (bundle up,) Vif will also provide other delicious foods and amazing wines paired with the delectable Hama Hama oysters.
On Sunday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, The Backdoor will host the 4th Annual ‘Taste The Music’, inspired by the Parisian culture of love. Enjoy a five-course French meal, complete with drink pairings, while listening to the music stylings of the premier musician and vocalist Eric Fridrich.
At Nectar Lounge, enjoy great music nearly every night, and next week they’ve got a great line-up planned – for Mardi Gras and for the School Of Rock.
Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean you need to hide in your cave to stay warm and comforted. As Mark Twain said, “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.” At this 21+ only winter warm up, enjoy tasting samples from great local distilleries – including our own Fremont Mischief – along with attending informational sessions (extra cost,) and feasting on bites of all types from the finest area chefs, on February 4th, 2016.
At The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar, on Wednesday, January 27th, from 6p – 9p, enjoy an evening of ‘Bitches Brew’, with no cover charge. Jim Ford, of the Dogfish Head Brewery, will be serving up their Bitches Brew Imperial Stout on draft, while the Bar plays the ultra-classic, ultra-edgy Bitches Brew album by Miles Davis, recorded in 1969/70.
