Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is preparing for the annual count of bicyclists and pedestrians to take place October 1st – 3rd. Volunteers counted nearly 60,000 bicyclists and pedestrians in 2012, and about 400 volunteers will be needed to take another census this fall.
On Monday, August 26th, at 7p, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will hold its monthly meeting on all matters residential. The meeting will take place at Doric Lodge 92 and is open-to-the-public.
On Saturday, August 24th, the Seattle Marathon Association (SMA) will hold a special 10K race through Fremont and Wallingford.
Fremont residents, and voters, can turn out to learn more at the July 22nd meeting of the Fremont Neighborhood Council. The meeting takes place next Monday starting at 7p at Doric Lodge 92 – and is open-to-the-public.
On Sunday, July 14th, between 7a – 1p, the third annual See Jane Run Women’s Half Marathon & 5K Race will begin and end inside Gas Works Park. Utilizing the Burke-Gilman Trail and area sidewalks, the race route will take runners around Lake Union – including portions of Fremont. Racers are expected to impact Fremont area traffic most between 8a – 10a.
On Monday, July 1st, at the Lake Union District Council (LUDC) monthly meeting, the members of this representative organization discussed funding for specific roadway improvements in our area.
At History House, on Monday, July 1st, starting at 5p, the Lake Union District Council (LUDC) will review City grant requests for street improvements and hear a presentation on proposed improvements for Aurora Avenue by Jonathan Dong of the Seattle Department of Transportation.
On Monday, June 24th, the Fremont Neighborhood Council will hold its monthly meeting – with an agenda full of information for residents that want to know what changes to expect to traffic in Fremont. Starting at 7p, at Doric Lodge #92, the public are invited to come learn more.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the next meeting of the Fremont Neighborhood Council will take place on Monday, May 20th, at 7p at Doric Lodge #92.
