As of May 30th, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a beneficiary of the Lime Hero donation program in Seattle.
On Sunday, June 16th, from 1p – 3p, the Ballard-Fremont Greenways is participating in ‘The Ride for Safe Streets’, formerly called ‘The 1000-Person Bike March.’ Starting the same morning, June 16th, at 11a, a family-friendly, kid-focused ride will kick-off from the Fremont PCC Market.

On Sunday, May 26th, from 7a – 11a, the Emerald City Ride takes cyclists, including families and new riders, around the city. Presented by Kaiser Permanente, this 12-mile bike ride is open for up to 10,000 participants to travel around, including on routes not normally open to bicyclists, like the SR99 tunnel and the I-5 Express Lanes.
The tower crane at the development at the corner of N 36th St & Phinney Ave N is scheduled for removal – which will shut down N 36th St from Francis Ave N to Phinney Ave N. The closure will start at 5a on Saturday, and could continue until 9p on Sunday.
On Wednesday, April 24th at 6p, at Peddler Brewing, there will be another organizing meeting for the Ballard-Fremont Greenways
On Saturday, April 20th, starting at 8a, The Tenacious Ten 10K & 10-Mile Race will invite runners, and cheer-ers, to jog ‘round Lake Union, and along a route between Gas Works Park and Ballard – right through the Center of the Universe.
On Saturday, June 22nd, the Fremont Arts Council will bring the Solstice Parade back to our streets, starting at 1p. This year, for the very first time, the Fremont Arts Council is attempting to formally schedule the Solstice Cyclists and all other painted bicycle riders, for 2:30p on June 22nd – AFTER THE SOLSTICE PARADE.
