The 3rd Annual Fremont Neighborhood Festival of Arts, Music, Food & Fun Saturday

This Saturday, May 7th, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center will host the Upper Fremont Festival of the Arts (a.k.a. UFFA!)  This will be an open-to-the-public, mostly free, celebration with plenty of entertainment for all ages, as well as demonstrations, live music, visual art, and giveaways!  Stop by to see what the excitement is all about, at our very own community center!

From 1p – 5p, in the Abbey Café (and on the sidewalk outside) will be an assortment of family friendly activities, as well as free food demos by Vegan Fusion chef Mark Reinfeld.  Giveaways will also take place for passes to Woodland Park Zoo, Zoo Tunes and Tutta Bella pizza.  At 3p, Canute Haroldson, a teen singer/songwriter, will perform and at 4p, Olivia Cacchione, a classical harpist.

Upstairs, in the Great Hall, from 1p – 3:30p will be the Art Rocks benefit for B.F. Day Elementary School.  This will be an art show, and includes performances by local bands – and students from B.F. Day!  At 5p, Emily Ann Peterson will present a spring recital featuring her cello students, along with poetry by Elaina Ellis and a dance performance by Karin Stevens Dance.

In the evening, starting at 7:30p to 10p, there will be a full-fledged concert featuring the cutting-edge, local, up-and-coming performers that the Abbey is known for.  Check out Sea Fever, Kimo Muraki & Band, and Hooves & Beak, in the Great Hall, for only $7 general admission ($5 students w/ID.)

All of this has been made available thanks to the efforts of the Fremont Abbey, and UFFA sponsors – Better Window Cleaning, Fremont Music School, Church of the Apostles, and Tutta Bella.
