On Monday, January 28th at 6p, the local Ben Franklin Circle will meet at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Anyone who is interested in joining this discussion is welcome to attend.
Based on the nationwide model (outlined in an April 2018 New Yorker article – click here,) the Ben Franklin Circle in Fremont chooses one of the great man’s 13 virtues to discuss each month. For January 2018, the group will discuss Virtue #7: Sincerity, use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly. Snacks will be provided at the discussion, and attendance is free.
The Ben Franklin Circle is not an SPL-sponsored event. This is a gathering of neighbors looking to engage in serious discussion about virtues, in the context of modern life. This Ben Franklin Circle is one of two in Seattle, and will meet in 2019 on the last Monday of the month.
See you there!
