The Fremont Arts Council Calls for Volunteers to Serve on the Board

The Fremont Arts Council, a 501(c)3 non-profit and entirely unique and independent volunteer organization, is in need of Board Members to help this vital support of the neighborhood move into the future.  The FAC is seeking people with skills such as fundraising, outreach, legal savvy and financial know-how to move the artistic productions of this incredible and legendary organization.  Retired and working people, dedicated to the socially diverse and equitable work of this non-profit, are welcomed to apply.

The Fremont Arts Council has produced one of the most significant, and unusual parades, of the City of Seattle – the Fremont Solstice Parade.  Held on the Saturday closest to the Summer Solstice, this spectacular, seasonal sensation inspires art by providing an open opportunity for expression during the Parade – and encouraging artistic expression by those who watch.  This 30-year tradition, the Fremont Solstice Parade needs a strong, involved FAC to lead and assist the production team in creating this blend of marching bands, dancers, and rolling installations.
