The Friends Of the Troll’s Knoll Need Help With A Survey On Troll Visits

Thanks to a small grant from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, the Friends Of the Troll’s Knoll are developing designs for expanding the parkland around the Fremont Troll sculpture to the East.

Any design will focus on the east-side of the Highway 99/Aurora Avenue, and the east wing of the Troll – but not on the actual sculpture site.  The Friends Of the Troll’s Knoll are working with landscape architecture firm Studio 41 on creating a plan for the east side, with hopes to compliment the improvements made on the west side and create more opportunities for visitors with a comprehensive plan overall for the complete Troll’s Knoll.

Please take a few minutes to answer a survey, click here for the link, and share this link with others who visit, or don’t, the Troll or the Knoll.  Everyone living near the Fremont Troll, or who love the area and want to be able to enhance their experience of it, is encouraged to complete the survey – and it is important that the Friends hear from everyone.  The survey will close on October 21st.

Please share the survey with everyone you know who might be interested in creating community enhancements at the Fremont Troll.  If you have ideas to share, and leadership skills, please consider joining the Friends Of the Troll’s Knoll Steering Committee (find out more on the Friends website.)

If you can, or know anyone who might be willing, the Friends Of the Troll’s Knoll could use financial donations towards outreach, design, upkeep and eventual construction of the eastern Troll’s Knoll.  Please donate through the Seattle Parks Foundation (click here.)
