Tickets On Sale Now for ‘A Pale & Lovely Place’ at West Of Lenin

From December 1st – 11th, West Of Lenin will host ‘A Pale And Lovely Place,’ a musical, black comedy, one-man show written and performed by Kevin Joyce, and directed by Kevin Kent.

This is the reworking of the popular music-filled monologue that originally opened at the Seattle Fringe Festival in 1996.  Those who saw the show in its original staging, or later at ACT, will enjoy the new, more mature approach to the material.  Those unfamiliar with the work – but fans of Joyce from his work with Teatro ZinZanni, Moisture Festival, EnJoy Productions or UMO – will witness a witty yet weighty walk through his hilarious (and/or hysterical) performance here.

During this ‘Deal with the Devil,’ three characters present a special offer – The Covenant – and its eight enigmatic rules to live by.  A warm embrace of the shadow in all of us, and the fears that unconsciously rule our lives, this hour-long, song-filled sales pitch comes complete with snappy tunes and dark, bizarre stories.

Tickets, on-sale now, may sell out quickly!  Advance purchase costs $20 through Brown Paper Tickets.  At the door ticket sales, at West Of Lenin (at 203 N 36th) will cost $25.  A pay-what-you-can performance will be held on Monday, December 5th.  Find out more on the show website, or Facebook page.
