This Saturday, December 20th, the Fremont Arts Council will host its annual Feast Of the Winter Solstice. This beautiful, community-wrought, art-filled celebration of the longest night of the year features ritual, live music, dance, and, of course, a delicious feast of dishes made by the guests. Share your favorite meal with a huge crowd of friends by buying your ticket today through Brown Paper Tickets – and remember, every year the Feast sells out!
This year tickets are selling now for $45, which includes a $25 payment for a 1-year membership to the Fremont Arts Council – the non-profit arts organization responsible for producing the Solstice Parade, Trolloween, and the May Day celebration. Also, while all ticket buyers will need to bring a dish to share at the Feast, they will walk away with a hand-crafted headdress as a keepsake.
For those who just want to come dance and party, without the Feast, $20 tickets will be on-sale this week for the after-Feast rave.
For those unable to pay for either celebration, but still want to contribute and participate, a few volunteer positions need filling. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at molliebehn@gmail.com to see if you can help out, and get a free ticket to the Feast Of the Winter Solstice.
