On Saturday, October 31st from 2p – 5p, Fremont will celebrate Halloween (and our families) with its annual Trick-or-Treat – done with careful COVID-19 precautions in place.
While usually involving nearly every Fremont business, this year only those who can be considered and deliberate about distributing treats have chosen to participate. Check out the list of the Participating Businesses on the Trick-or-Treat in Fremont website (click here.)
The ToT Participating Businesses will be:
- Distributing Treats in front of/at the front of (depending on the weather) of their business
- Wearing masks/face shields, and using gloves/hand-sanitizer during distribution
- Drawing treats from closed bags/boxes, to reduce airborne particles from surfaces of the hand-outs
All children are invited to come, in costume, to Troll the ‘hood for treats. Due to the distribution by staff, it will be especially important for parents/guardians to watch those treats being given to children with allergies. Please speak up about nut or other allergies.
The Fremont business community is happy to be open and available to shoppers and strollers, including for Trick-or-Treat in Fremont. Halloween celebrations may have to be curtailed or cancelled, but with care and caution, it should be possible to give Fremont’s children a bit of normalcy in 2020.
Break out your costume, put on your face mask (all Trick-or-Treat in Fremont participants must wear a mask or face shield,) and bring the costumed kiddies down to the Center of the Universe for a scaled back but coronavirus-safe celebration!
Sponsored by Theo Chocolates, and supported by Portage Bay Goods, ToT is an event produced annually by Fremocentrist.com Find out all the details about this community event on the Trick-or-Treat in Fremont website (click here.)
