On Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th, the Fremont Outdoor Cinema will bring two great films to the parking lot, for those 21+, for two nights of food, beer, fun, and film. First, get your classic Arnie action fix with ‘Predator’ and then The Knights That Say Ni! invite you to watch the epic quest film, ‘Monty Python & The Holy Grail.’ Gates open at 7p, with seating on a first-come, first-serve basis – so set-up your urban campsite early.
The 1987 film ‘Predator’ pits a band of rugged, experienced commandos, led by Arnold Schwarzenegger, through the Central American jungle, against their toughest foe, a human hunting alien. Cower under your blankets, or bark your enthusiasm, for Arnie versus the thing that goes bump and bash in the shadowed dark of the jungle.
The farcical romp of ‘Monty Python’ also offers up moments of sheer terror – watch out for the bunnies! – amidst the random silliness of Arthur & His Knights Of The Round Table seeking the Holy Grail, or not. With a non-stop number of one-liners and self-mocking moments, this is the film to bring your buds to enjoy.
Both nights, take in the food and spirits on sale, plus costume contests and trivia challenges. Purchase tickets in advance, both nights, using the discount code ‘FOMFRIENDS’, and get $5 off plus priority seating (before 8p.) Remember, the Fremont Outdoor Movies are B.Y.O.C. – Bring Your Own Seating – and arrive early for the best site on the asphalt, out under the stars! In iffy weather, we will not fart in your general direction, but check the Outdoor Cinema Facebook Page to confirm that the show will go on!
