On Tuesday, August 16th, from 6p – 7:30p, Seattle Parks & Recreation staffers, along with landscape architects from Site Workshop will present design options for the expansion of A.B. Ernst (Slippery Slope) Park, adjacent to the Fremont Branch Library. This presentation, and comment session, will take place in the public meeting room of the Fremont Library.
Based on input from a June Open House at the Fremont Sunday Market, an on-line survey and stakeholder meetings, planners have crafted design options for this prime piece of property which will expand the Library Park closer to downtown Fremont.
Please plan to attend and give input on the options, and how they will impact your use of this public space. This park space is intended for use by everyone in Fremont far into the future, and it is up to everyone in our community to help create a space that will be used, and loved, by all of us.
Light refreshments and children’s activities will be provided at this public event. Funding for the park expansion comes from the voter approved Seattle Park District.
