Upcoming Workshops On Neighborhood Matching Fund

Have a great idea for a community project?  Looking for funding for your vision for Fremont?  The City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods is hosting two community workshops for those interested in applying for Small & Simple Project Funds this June, for a matching award of up to $25,000.

The Small & Simple grant is one of the Seattle Matching Fund programs intended to encourage neighborhood groups and community organizations to initiate community-building projects.  The goal of all Neighborhood Matching Fund projects is to build stronger and healthier neighborhoods through community involvement and engagement.  The funds awarded are matched by a neighborhood’s contribution of volunteer labor, donated materials, in-kind professional services, or cash.  The next application deadline for a Small & Simple grant is June 2nd at 5p.  Another opportunity this year will be on October 6thThe application is web-based.

At workshops on May 10th & May 15th, attendees will learn the qualities of a good project and details about the application process and requirements.  The workshops are open to all, and those interested can choose to attend either –
