Work continues on the historic bus shelter at Westlake Avenue & Dexter Avenue.
The new roof has been installed and painted, the steel beams and concrete seat backs have been repaired and painted, and concrete and conduit have been installed.
However, this is not the end of the work to be done. Crews will be installing wiring, lighting, the electric meter, wooden benches, gutters, a historic display and a trash can. Everything is still on schedule to be completed by early November.
The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is still determining which landscaping option to pursue for this small parcel. For more information about this project, contact Brian Macik, Assistant Transportation Planner, at SDOT, at brian.macik@seattle.gov or 206/684-8674.
