Vaccination Pop-Up In Fremont TOMORROW, May 13th, At Roxy’s

Seattle Fire Department staff will be giving COVID-19 Vaccinations in the parking lot at Roxy’s on May 13th!

On Thursday, May 13th, from 10a – 12:30p, the City Of Seattle Fire Department will host a COVID-19 Vaccination Pop-Up in the U-Park lot alongside Roxy’s Diner, and across the street from Fremont Coffee.  This will precede similar Pop-Up Vaccination sites in Ballard, along on May 13th and in West Seattle on May 15th.

These pop-ups are part of the City Of Seattle’s effort to bring vaccinations directly to Seattle residents and workers through coordinated efforts with small businesses.  The SFD will visit high-traffic areas and parks in an attempt to

“Over 73% of eligible Seattlites have begun the vaccination process.  This is an incredible achievement, and it speaks to our communities’ commitment to protecting the health and safety of our entire city,” said Mayor Jenny Durkan.  “We can’t beat this pandemic unless we work together.”

As an added temptation, the Seattle Office of Economic Development has coordinated with small businesses to ensure their staff have the opportunity to receive a vaccine at these clinics – and to find a reward for those who get shot.  In Fremont, the first 50 customers at Fremont Coffee who receive their vaccination on May 13th in the parking lot at Roxy’s are eligible for a free coffee.  Find an up-to-date list of small business partners of the Vaccination Pop-Ups on the Bottom Line Blog (click here.)

The Seattle Fire Department Mobile Vaccination Team will offer the Moderna and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines at these clinics.  They can administer the second dose of the Moderna vaccine if the patient provides proof of vaccination.  Patients who receive a first dose of Moderna at this clinic will be scheduled for a second dose at either a Rainier Beach or West Seattle vaccination hub.

“Vaccination will bring us closer to getting business and entertainment in Fremont able to operate at full capacity and ability,” observed Brandi Gaines, Fremont Chamber of Commerce President.  “We are excited to welcome this vaccine event, and soon invite the world back to the Center of the Universe.”
