On Tuesday, November 12th, from 6:30p – 7:30p-ish, the new wine & coffee bar Vif (at 4401 Fremont Ave N) will hold a special wine tasting with selections from LIOCO Winery. The cost is $15, including snacks, but not tax/gratuity.
Formed in 2005, LIOCO Winery demonstrates that wines of place can be made in California. Co-founders Matt Licklider and Kevin O’Conner set out to find cool climate vineyard sites with great soil and older vines, then questioned the typical production practices of contemporary wineries and forged their own path in the cellar. As a result, LIOCO wines are clear, mineral, balanced and a joy to drink.
On November 12th, meet John Mark, the National Representative for LIOCO, who will guide attendees through the wines. This tasting at Vif will include:
- LIOCO Sonoma County Chardonnay 2011 ($21)
- LIOCO Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2011 ($42)
- LIOCO Chardonnay Demuth Vineyard 2010 ($35)
- LIOCO Indica 2010 ($21)
- LIOCO Indica Rosé 2012 ($20)
- LIOCO Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2011 ($40)
Come enjoy an evening of special wines in this new venue at the Top Of The Universe. Space is limited for this night of wine tasting – please call Vif at 206/557-7357 or e-mail hello@vifseattle.com to reserve space.
