On Friday, June 19th, Juneteenth, Vif Wine|Coffee has chosen to replace their annual day before the Solstice BBQ with a fundraiser for the Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color (BIPOC) community.
With COVID-19 precautions in place, and from a desire to take action and make a positive contribution in the current situation, Vif and partners are creating a BBQ box that costs $125 each, and serves 2, including the bottle of wine. This version of the annual Vif BBQ can be enjoyed at home, with the 100% of the money raised going to local and national organizations that focus on voters’ rights, Black farming, agriculture and food sovereignty.
The goal is to sell 75 BBQ boxes, to raise $9,375, with the help of customers, and partners – Louis/Dressner Selections, Kinsfolk Wine, Petit Monde, Cavatappi, Indie Wineries, Walden Selections, Sea Wolf Bakers, Coyle’s Bakeshop, The Pantry, Local Roots Farm, and Present Tense Farm. Visit the Vif website (click here,) for menu details and ordering directions – and hurry, they’ll go fast!
