Virtual Discussion On Conservation & Racism Produced By Woodland Park Zoo

Listen in on this discussion, open to the public on Zoom, on Aug 27th at 6p

On Thursday, August 27th, at 6p, the Woodland Park Zoo’s Network for Nature along with the University of Washington’s College of the Environment and EarthLab, are producing ‘Slipping Through the Cracks: Racism and the Struggle for Equity in the Field of Conservation’.  This Virtual Event is open to everyone.

During the ‘Slipping…’ event, members of the BIPOC community will share experiences working in and around the field of conservation, and how racism and social injustice can become barriers to saving the planet.  Diverse voices will shine light on climate injustice, and consequences that stem from a lack of representation.

This virtual event is free, and on Zoom, with registration is available on Zoo.org (click here.)
