On Saturday, March 13th from 1p – 2p, the elected officials that represent Fremont on the State level will be a part of a Virtual Town Hall open to all of those who live and work in the 43rd Legislative District. Representative Nicole Macri, Representative Frank Chopp and Senator Jamie Pedersen will be on-hand to hear questions, thoughts, concerns and hopes for the current session of the State legislature – and the future for our state.
According to Representative Macri, the issues the legislature intends to work on this year include:
- the COVID-19 public health response
- economic recovery from the pandemic
- vaccine availability
- unemployment insurance, and the Employment Security Department
- racial justice
- climate justice
- housing security
- balancing the upside-down tax code
The Virtual Town Hall on March 13th will stream live on Facebook, YouTube and on Twitter @WaHouseDems. There is also a Facebook page for submitting questions and/or comments before the Town Hall, or live during the Virtual event.
