On Sunday, November 16th, from 10a – 1p, volunteers are needed to help spread mulch in the community-maintained Fremont Peak Park.

The mulch, provided by the City of Seattle Parks Department, will help put the park to bed for the winter, and protect roots from bad weather.  This garden work party provides fun each year, and the most visible progress for those who want to see the effects of their labor.

PeakParklogoTools and gloves will be available for use, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own if they prefer.  Also, coffee, tea and a few snacks will be provided, but volunteers can bring something if they so desire.  Finally, please dress for the weather – or plan to come for a short stint.

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in all Fremont Peak Park work parties.  Please R.S.V.P. (at info@FremontPeakPark.org) if you, and your friends, plan to attend so that the organizers will have enough tools, gloves and snacks available for all!
