On Thursday, March 17th, Moisture Festival officially opens – and volunteers are still needed to help stage this incredible, month-long spectacle, at venues in Fremont and around Seattle.

Food Babes are needed.  These are folks who concoct tasty snacks out of donated meals and ingredients that come from generous restaurants, stores and caterers around the area (if you know of any businesses that could donate –  meal ingredients are still needed.)  Volunteers are needed to create the meals, and to serve them to the performers, crew and other volunteers at Moisture Festival.

Angela Parisi, Moisture Festival Artist Liaison, still needs people to help check-in performers, and see to their placement in the vaudeville performances at Hale’s Palladium, ‘Le Chat Noir’ at Café Nordo, and burlesque shows Broadway Performance Hall.  These people need to be able to work with others, quickly, and then stay to watch the show – and make sure artists have what they need.

Drivers are also needed, although these must be volunteers with a reliable and safe vehicle, a cell phone, and valid car insurance and driver’s license – willing to pick up and deliver performers from the airport, venues and private homes where they stay.

For first time volunteers, some shifts for Door Babes (ushers who take tickets, hand out programs and help clean-up the ‘house’ after the show,) and Security Staff are still available.

Moisture Festival volunteers are appreciated, and become part of the community, including dining with performers at their community meal.  Moisture Festival also hosts parties during the year to thank volunteers.

To volunteer, register on the Moisture Festival Shiftboard (click here.)  If you have questions about volunteer positions, and duties, contact volunteers@moisturefestival.org

Even if you can’t volunteer, there is still time to buy your tickets to Moisture Festival this year.  Purchase tickets at moisturefestival.org and make sure you get a seat before the show closes on April 13th.
