The Wallingford Community Senior Center (WCSC) has been ably led by Interim Executive Director Rae Levine for the last year while the WCSC Board conducted an exhaustive and thorough search for a permanent person to support our seniors and WCSC’s public programs.
This week WCSC Board President Ed Ringness announced that Claire Petersky has been selected to start as Executive Director in early October. Petersky comes to WCSC with many years of experience working in non-profits. For six years Petersky has served as ED for Eastside Friends of Seniors, an organization to provide support and assistance for seniors striving to remain independent. Petersky has also worked with the United Way of King County, has a solid track record in fundraising and in non-profit management.
The Board selected her for her strong leadership skills, commitment to creating community and as a great fit for the mission of WCSC. Please visit the WCSC website to learn more about how this non-profit supports our seniors, and the variety of programs available to WCSC members.
