The critically acclaimed, improvisational musical, Starball: A Dreamy Musical Astronomy Show, comes to Seattle as creators John Kaufmann and Dan Dennis return home after performing their show at planetariums around the world. At West of Lenin, in a pop-up dome, Starball literally brings audiences’ dreams to life over a short run, September 7th – 11th.
As audiences enter Starball, they assume the role of villagers in a dystopian future in which the global government has severed relationship between humanity and the stars. This is the story of two ‘astronomasons’ who have rebelled and called villagers to a secret clearing for a creative ritual. Directed by Rachel Katz Carey, Starball combines live theater, improvisation, original music and cosmological inquiry in an entertaining, engaging and memorable performance.
Purchase tickets on the West of Lenin website for performances on September 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th at 8p, with special late night show on Friday, September 8th at 10:30p and a matinee on Sunday, September 10th at 2p.
