The cold, dark winters in Fremont often see changes to our business district, some good and some so sad…
On December 31st, the Fremont Boutique closed at 465 N 36th, #A. This satellite location of Wish Boutique has gone, with the merchandise (and the great customer service) being absorbed by the main location, at 4419 Wallingford Ave N. All gift cards and coupons for Fremont Boutique will be honored at Wish in Wallingford, and their great products will continue to be found there.
A new enterprise has already been planned for the Fremont Boutique location, and will hopefully open in early spring.
For now, Fremont can enjoy the triumphant return of Revel, at 401 N 36th St, in the new Cedar Speedster building, and back in its original location. Originally opened here in 2010, Revel offers a new approach to everyday Korean comfort food, served in a lively, casual space. Serving lunch and dinner, Revel will soon add brunch, and they’ll take reservations at 206-547-2040, – although walk-in guests are also welcome.
The new building is also welcoming new neighbors to Fremont, including Aslan Brewing, open now, and Local Tide, which is promised soon. Winters usually include a few changes in the retail and restaurants of Fremont, including some losses. The best way for us to avoid losing any more (and to attract others,) is to shop local, and especially the small, independent businesses of the Center of the Universe!
