The seasonal Butterfly Garden at Woodland Park Zoo re-opens on May 25th, showing off 500 free-flying butterflies that represent at least 15 species native to North America.
The Butterfly Garden, sponsored by Molbak’s, consists of an arching tent enclosing approximately 3,000 square feet, where guests learn about the life-cycle of the butterflies and can see new butterflies emerging from chrysalises before flying free in the garden.
Behind the garden is the year-round Microsoft Pollinator Patio, where guests can stroll among pollinator-friendly plants and learn about ways we can all support the pollinators (hummingbirds, beetles, bees and flies,) in our eco-system.
Find out more about Molbak’s Butterfly Garden on the Zoo.org website, and stop by from 9:30a – 6p at Woodland Park Zoo from now through Sunday, September 30th. Visiting the Butterfly Garden and Pollinator Patio are part of a visit to the Zoo, and are included as part of Zoo admission.
