As Fremont returns to business-as-usual, there is still something missing – nightlife. Fremont’s bars and restaurants depend on the ebb and flow of people going to shows and seeking activity, and our nightclubs provide that piece of the eco-system that is our Fremont economy.
Great news has come in notices on the websites for two of Fremont’s most popular night spots, pre-COVID. According to NectarLounge.com and HighDiveSeattle.com, the nightclubs will re-open in August.
On August 2nd, Nectar kicks off a return of the Mo’ Jam series featuring Chris Littlefield, and on August 5th, Marmalade & Cumbieros perform a Thank You concert for their GoFundMe donors. On August 19th, High Dive will welcome Tapes-One2 x Gifted Youngstaz and on August 20th, Glenn Cannon will perform with Wyatt Olney.
Both clubs have been extremely observant of all safety measures that would ensure the health and wellness of their staff and guests, and musicians. Now, the management of both Nectar and High Dive have chosen to implement extra precautions in re-opening.
One big precaution is a self-imposed 20% reduction in capacity. This may make it more difficult to purchase tickets – and much more important to buy in advance on those shows most important to you. Guests may also notice the touchless payment and check-in options being implemented, and the upgrades in the bathrooms to touchless fixtures. It’ll be particularly important that guests follow directions of staff and signage installed to modify the night club spaces for increased traffic flow. Both venues have taken steps to limit the everyone’s exposure and any potential transmission.
Unvaccinated guests will be required to wear a face mask while inside High Dive and Nectar, as per Washington State guidelines. There are no masking requirements for vaccinated people, although any patrons who choose to wear one are welcome to do so. All staff have been vaccinated and will wear masks during the re-opening. Finally, by entering Nectar and/or High Dive, guests voluntarily assume the risks of contracting COVID-19 and will release the venue and artists from liability relating to COVID-19.
Thank you to Nectar and High Dive owners, managers and staff for finding safe ways to re-open, to keep live music available and providing a soundtrack to all Fremont’s most fun. Find out more on the websites for Nectar Lounge (click here,) and High Dive (click here.)
