Through September 7th, Fecal Fest at Woodland Park Zoo lottery entries will be accepted on-line. The hottest compost in town, this is your chance to score Zoo Doo and Bed Spread – perfect for veggies and annuals.
The exotic, highly-coveted Zoo Doo compost and Bed Spread has been piling since last spring. Local gardeners know the incredible power and potency of this organic product, created by the critters and creatures that make our Zoo home. In addition to pure Zoo Doo, Bed Spread is now available – made from the manures and bedding of the Zoo’s non-primate herbivores and containing higher amounts of wood ships and sawdust.
To enter the lottery, for either the compost or bed spread, complete an official on-line entry form. Entries will be randomly selected, according to supply and demand. Dr. Doo will contact lucky entries only, and they will load compost using provided shovels between September 20th – October 2nd.
Prices for Zoo Doo and Bed Spread are:
- 8’ x 4’ pick-up truck bed – $60
- 6’ x 4’ pick-up truck bed – $45
- 6’ x 3’ pick-up truck bed – $35
- garbage cans – $8 to $10
- bags (depending on size) – $4 – $6
