Last week, the first Petit Troll workshops took place – building small models, or prototypes, of Fremont Solstice Parade floats – in preparation for the mini-parade scheduled for 1p on Sunday, February 15th at the Fremont Sunday Market.
On Tuesday, February 10th, the Outlander Brewery & Pub, in West Fremont, will host its first-ever bottle release party.
On Sunday, February 8th at 3p, Orchestra Seattle/Seattle Chamber Singers (OSSCS) will present ‘Turning Points’, continuing its musical exploration of moments in time by touching on pivotal points that changed composers, musicians and their work. As a special treat, violinist Marie Leou will perform the first movement of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, all in the First Free Methodist Church near the Seattle Pacific University campus.
On Sunday, February 8th, from 6p – 9p, get your chocolate fix while supporting the efforts of the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance – a non-profit headquartered in Fremont – at Chocofest, held at Pike Brewing (1415 – 1st Ave – enter on Union St.)
On Friday, February 6th, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk goes philanthropic, at Frame-Up Studios, along with featuring a trunk show, art displays and an anniversary celebration, all going on ‘round the ‘hood from 6p – 9p!
Fremont audiences will get another chance at the wildly funny, all-ages appropriate (and all-ages entertaining) ‘I Hate Children’ Children’s Show, with Paul Nathan. The show goes on for three matinees on Saturdays and Sundays, February 7th – 22nd, at Hale’s Palladium.
